Lots of white dudes in tech like to think they're the next Tony Stark, and they forget that Tony Stark was not only a tool in the social sense, but a tool of the US military-industrial complex who suffered a bit of poetic justice most war pigs manage to escape: he had weapons of his own design, bearing his own name, turned against him.
It's like not a single postmodern Prometheus among them ever fucking read FRANKENSTEIN or understood Mary Shelley's novel.
@starbreaker Tony Stark is a genius and all that, but he's also really a self-centered dick who nobody in their right mind would want to hang out with.

The tech industry under capitalism is inherently toxic.

Thing is, I was a history/lit nerd before I was a techie. I only became a developer because it seemed like a good way to earn a living.
Should have become a plumber or an electrician, or done gay for pay while I was still young, slim, and pretty.

I wouldn't mind having that kind of money but not if it means I turn into an asshole.
