I'm sitting in a hospital waiting room while my wife gets prepped for surgery. She's getting a mastectomy today because she has two tumors in her left breast.

Thanks, everybody. She's just been prepped, and we're waiting for her to go into surgery.

@starbreaker Supportive thoughts, my friend.

If it eases your worry, my mother-in-law had the same surgery several years ago and is living a full and active life.

They just went through final prep and wheeled Catherine into the OR. Since I live a quarter mile away and signed up for updates via text I'm going to wait at home where I can pet one of my cats.
