Metal technobabble lyrics

I discovered this fascinating Metal lyrics subgenre with Virus by Thunderstone.

Metal lyrics often are esoteric, so it wasn't a big stretch to include seemingly random information technology jargon words. It could have stayed an isolated track in a great metal album, until yesterday when Spotify made me discover a metal band whose whole shtick is technobabble.

ha! i also played in a small project 20 years ago that was coming up with lyrics based on tech jargon (we were also programmers after all), things like "stemming from an abstract class" serving also as a metaphor for society. i still think there are great terms around that can convey a lot of meaning.

That's cool, and yes, they can convey a lot of meaning but for the most part, I'm missing the point with metal lyrics while listening. Still, I'm surprised when I'm catching familiar terms from my job.
